Cup - Medium Yunomi - Handmade Chattered Porcelain with Black Rim
Handmade wheel-thrown yunomi in porcelain with chattered surface and a black rim accent.
The textured surface is formed by a technique where a special curved blade with a long handle is oscillated at high speed across the surface during trimming to form rhythmic patterns - a function of speed and pressure - which are completely unique from one piece to the next.
Excellent for tea from the pot or coffee from either pour-over or flat white/latte.
Inside has transparent glaze, outside is left raw.
Turned foot ring with maker’s mark in underglaze.
Dishwasher and microwave safe but hand-washing recommended.
Fired in the kiln to cone 8 (1255c) in an oxidising atmosphere.
